Origin: Finca La Bendicion, Guatemala
Our First Blessings offers you notes of tropical fruit, milk chocolate with a sweet and creamy body.
Guatemala is joining our menu, and we are stoked to offer one we really fell in love with on the cupping table.
Our new micro-lot Guatemalan coffee comes from Finca La Bendicion, through our partners Truth Trading Company. 85 years ago Vicente Gomez and his wife Maria Reyes purchased a plot of land in the village of Sanguayaba, Palencia. This 42-hectare property produces both washed and natural processed coffees, however we’ve always been partial to washed coffees for their crisp, clean flavor.
In 1997 Jose Gomez rebranded the land and began growing coffee. He called it Finca La Bendicion. Today he works with his son Jose and they are experimenting with new varieties, in addition to building their own wet mill with African Beds for drying.
This is a washed coffee.
